InPost UK Reaches 15,000 Parcel Locker Milestone

InPost UK has expanded its automated locker network to 15,000 locations nationwide, placing parcel collection and return points across supermarkets, transport hubs, and residential zones. This rapid infrastructure growth aims to address systemic delivery failures by shifting the focus from checkout efficiency to the end-user's actual daily routine.

Network Director Paul Selvey noted that the company’s expansion reflects a fundamental change in consumer expectations. According to Selvey, traditional delivery models have historically prioritized cost over the practical needs of the recipient, leading to high failure rates. By providing 24/7 access, the company intends to move out-of-home delivery from a niche preference into a standard consumer expectation.

The industry landscape continues to shift as talent migrates between major players. Steve Kelly, formerly Operations Director at InPost UK, has moved to Evri to serve as Head of Returns. Kelly, who brings prior experience from Amazon UK, Hermes, and Menzies Distribution, stated he intends to focus on reconnecting with depot and hub teams across the network as he settles into his new role.
