Berlin-based advertising technology firm Almedia confirmed the restoration of its flagship rewards app today. Before its sudden removal earlier this spring, the app had secured the No. 2 position on the US App Store charts and added 19 million new users to its base. To date, the platform has processed over $300 million in payouts for tasks including game engagement and survey completion.
Moritz Holländer, CEO and founder of Almedia, acknowledged the frustration caused by the downtime while confirming that the company is shifting its focus back to expansion within the rewarded user acquisition sector. The firm, ranked by the Financial Times as the third fastest-growing company in Europe, plans to host an industry summit in Berlin on July 2-3 to address the future of mobile advertising.
