Airmedic Upgrades Learjet Fleet with Bespoke Medical Cabins

The new cabin configuration, developed alongside Fargo Jet Center, moves away from temporary medical setups toward a permanent workspace. Key features include an advanced LifePort stretcher system and overhead rails that secure ventilators and defibrillators, keeping essential hardware within the crew's immediate reach. The interior also incorporates medical-grade, stainless-clad surfaces to improve decontamination efficiency and a specialized loading clearance to better accommodate bariatric and incubator transports. A new Skytrac ISAT-200A system allows medical teams to maintain hands-free satellite communication with physicians on the ground without pausing patient care.

This conversion is the first stage of an 18-million-dollar investment in the company's Learjet 45XR fleet. A second aircraft is scheduled to receive the same configuration in the coming months, signaling Airmedic's push to solidify its international repatriation program. While the company is scaling its global reach from its Montreal hub, Louis-Philippe Loiselle Fortier, Vice-President of Strategic Initiatives, confirmed that these aircraft remain available for urgent inter-hospital transfers within Quebec. The fleet, which also includes six Pilatus PC-12 NG aircraft, operates under EURAMI accreditation, maintaining the standards necessary for its expanding transatlantic mission profile.
