Traditional speech recognition software often struggles with the nuances of surgical terminology, forcing doctors to spend valuable time correcting errors. SIS Scribe aims to bypass this by utilizing advanced AI capable of interpreting complex medical language in real time. By accelerating the completion of operative notes, the platform allows surgery centers to initiate the billing process sooner, effectively reducing the days in accounts receivable.

The tool integrates into existing clinical workflows regardless of the specific management system a facility currently uses. Beyond speed, the company emphasizes that the software is fully HIPAA-compliant, ensuring that sensitive patient health information remains secure during the automated dictation process. Doug Rempfer, president of SIS Software, noted that incomplete documentation remains one of the primary obstacles to profitability in the ambulatory space. Surgical Information Systems currently serves more than 2,900 centers, positioning this new tool as a direct play to optimize cash flow across its existing client base.
