EVmatch will retain its brand identity while migrating its entire network to Epic’s hardware-agnostic platform. The integration provides the company with advanced tools for reservation-based access, dynamic load management, and real-time monitoring. This partnership formalizes a relationship that began as an emergency migration effort for customers displaced by the Enel X Way collapse.
Heather Hochrein, founder and CEO of EVmatch, noted that the infusion of capital allows the company to scale its focus on complex residential deployments. Michael Bakunin, CEO of Epic Charging, highlighted that the collaboration targets the specific technical hurdles of shared charging, including resident billing and property-wide uptime. The companies plan to showcase their integrated services at the upcoming Apartmentalize 2026 conference in New Orleans.
