Nashville Prepares for R.H. Boyd’s Fifth Annual Legacy Ball

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center will host the fifth annual Legacy Ball on June 27, 2026, marking a milestone in R.H. Boyd’s 130th anniversary year. The black-tie event serves as the primary fundraiser for the R.H. Boyd Family Endowment Fund, which provides essential scholarships and community grants to support future generations.

Since its launch, the gala has raised over $1 million, channeling resources into educational excellence and local development. Mrs. Yvette Boyd, who coordinates the Endowment Fund, describes the evening as a strategic investment in the community rather than a mere commemorative event. The night will highlight four key honorees: author Alice Randall for the Storytellers Award, the Urban League of Middle Tennessee for Excellence, the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee for Humanitarian efforts, and the Nashville Public Library Civil Rights Room for Service.

Attendees will be treated to a performance by Bizz and Everyday People, with social media personality Christianee Porter, known for "The Christee Show," presiding as mistress of ceremonies. The event is led by chairs Don and Tracy Hardin alongside Gail Carr Williams, with Tylan M. Beard and Lea A. Bryant heading the Young Professionals committee. Corporate backing for the evening includes major contributors such as Nissan, HCA Healthcare | TriStar Health, and FirstBank. Tickets and underwriting opportunities remain open through the organization’s official portal at legacybal.org.
