The MHS Serves Workforce Support Program provides capital to community organizations through a two-tiered structure. Tier 1 grants between $50,000 and $150,000 target groups providing direct training and job placement. Tier 2 grants, reaching up to $500,000, are reserved for regional coordinators tasked with aligning training programs with employer needs across multiple counties. Applications remain open through June 19, 2026, via the company's online portal.
Christina Hage, CEO of MHS, identified employment as a foundational element of long-term health. The initiative arrives as the state prepares for new federal eligibility standards under H.R.1, which may require certain Medicaid recipients to satisfy work or community engagement mandates. The program expands on the existing MHS Serves framework, which previously invested $1.2 million across 19 organizations to address social drivers of health, such as digital access and youth mental health support.
