UNSW Sydney Partners with D2L for Digital Learning Overhaul

The university, a prominent member of Australia’s Group of Eight, intends to move beyond standard software implementation. By deploying a suite of tools including D2L Creator+ for interactive content and Performance+ for data-driven insights, the institution seeks to provide a more consistent and accessible environment for its diverse student body. The project also incorporates D2L Lumi to facilitate AI-assisted tutoring and feedback, emphasizing ethical standards and academic integrity.

Provost and Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Vlado Perkovic highlighted that the partnership addresses the shifting landscape of global higher education. According to Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Sarah Maddison, the collaboration allows staff and students to co-design a flexible system capable of evolving alongside rapid technological change. This move aligns with the university’s ten-year 'Progress for All' strategy, focusing on scalability and inclusive education to better prepare graduates for complex professional environments.
