Davidson Hospitality Group Forms General Manager Council

Atlanta-based Davidson Hospitality Group has launched its inaugural General Manager Council, a strategic body of eleven hotel leaders tasked with bridging the gap between field operations and corporate decision-making. The initiative aims to integrate frontline expertise directly into the development of company-wide processes and management tools.

The council features a diverse group of high-performing executives from across the company's 87-property portfolio, including Andy Seal of The Westin Indianapolis and Danielle Gilligan of FORTH Atlanta. By formalizing this feedback loop, the company intends to ensure that its corporate initiatives reflect the practical realities of daily operations at its hotels, resorts, and restaurant verticals.

Jason Reader, Chief Operating Officer at Davidson, noted that the council serves as a collective voice for the entire organization, emphasizing that the selected managers are expected to champion the company's core values. For the participants, the collaboration offers a direct line to influence strategy. Niels Vuijsters, General Manager of Asher Adams, described the appointment as a significant opportunity to provide diverse perspectives from their respective operating verticals while fostering a culture of mutual support among the leadership team.
