Braeburn will present new clinical and real-world data on BRIXADI at the 88th Annual Scientific Meeting of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence in Portland, Oregon, from June 13–17, 2026, focusing on the drug's efficacy in suppressing opioid withdrawal and maintaining treatment retention during the ongoing fentanyl crisis.
The upcoming presentations include two oral reports and two posters detailing the performance of the extended-release injectable buprenorphine. One key analysis examines the relationship between buprenorphine plasma concentrations and withdrawal suppression after an initial dose, while a late-breaking study offers a retrospective look at office-based treatment retention, comparing the injectable treatment to sublingual buprenorphine in patients with recent fentanyl exposure.Beyond clinical efficacy, the company will share findings from a retrospective analysis of specialty pharmacy data, mapping utilization trends for the weekly and monthly formulations in the United States. A final research poster will outline national and regional patterns of polysubstance use among individuals with opioid use disorders, based on definitive urine drug testing results gathered between 2016 and 2025. These sessions aim to bolster the evidence base for BRIXADI within the current landscape of high-potency synthetic opioids.
