The influencer, who rose to fame at 15, admitted she did not begin engaging with her own financial records until age 21. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, D’Amelio noted that while she is grateful for her success, the rapid pace of her career left little room for her to oversee the business side of her stardom. She emphasized that she is now directly managing her career decisions, including parting ways with her longtime manager, Greg Goodfried, in December 2025.
Responding to social media rumors that her parents, Marc and Heidi D’Amelio, had mishandled her earnings, Charli explicitly denied the allegations. She stated that while the family navigated complex business arrangements together, the claims of theft are untrue. Her father, Marc, had previously pushed back against these rumors, insisting the family was not dependent on her income. The professional separation, including Charli's departure from the family-linked Be Happy Snacks brand, has signaled a broader shift toward individual agency. Reflecting on her journey, D’Amelio noted that the industry has forced her to be more guarded, remarking that one cannot afford to be entirely trusting in her position. She remains focused on her independent path, including an upcoming Broadway debut, while maintaining that her bond with her sister, Dixie, persists despite the pressures of public scrutiny.
