Short brings two decades of expertise in scaling pharmaceutical distribution, most notably from his tenure as Vice President of Global Supply Chain at AveXis. During his time there, he managed the complex international rollout of Zolgensma, including the implementation of specialized cold-chain logistics essential for patient-specific gene therapies. He subsequently held leadership roles at Jaguar Gene Therapy and Advanced Medicine Partners, focusing on facility design and CMC strategy.
At Nanoscope, Short will oversee the manufacturing and distribution infrastructure necessary to support MOGENRY, an investigational one-time intravitreal therapy for retinal degeneration. The FDA is currently reviewing the company’s Biologics License Application for the treatment of retinitis pigmentosa, while a separate application is under consideration by Japan’s PMDA. CEO Sulagna Bhattacharya noted that Short’s experience in delivering approved AAV therapies is critical as the company shifts its focus toward building a resilient, high-quality commercial supply network.
