The Trauma Nursing Core Course, currently in its ninth edition, provides a standardized framework for trauma assessment and management. By utilizing evidence-based practices, the program aims to increase the confidence of nurses and paramedics when navigating complex patient scenarios. Since its 1986 inception, the course has trained more than 70,000 clinicians globally.
Coast Resuscitation Group director Steven Baldwin noted that the curriculum serves as a logical extension for providers already trained in advanced life support. For ALST owner Patrick Morton, the partnership addresses a significant gap in formal, nurse-specific trauma education within the Australian market. Both organizations will highlight the program at the Australia and New Zealand Trauma Society conference in Sydney on October 16-17. ENA President Dustin Bass emphasized that these collaborations are vital for scaling the reach of the organization's gold-standard nursing education.
