The court filing confirms that the confidentiality terms attached to the pair’s 2025 settlement are now terminated and void. By abandoning these restrictions, the agreement allows Tahliah Debrett Barnett, known professionally as FKA Twigs, to speak publicly about her past and support charitable causes without the threat of legal reprisal. Her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, framed the outcome as a significant victory for survivors of sexual abuse, noting that the singer successfully challenged attempts to use secret arbitration as a tool for intimidation.
This resolution leverages California’s 2018 Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act, which curtails the use of confidentiality clauses in cases involving sexual assault and harassment. While LaBeouf’s attorney, Shawn Holley, stated that her client simply wishes to move on from the long-standing conflict, the singer’s legal team emphasized that the victory sets a precedent for women who lack the resources to defend themselves against similar silencing tactics. A formal dismissal of the case is scheduled for December 4 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles.
