Marchal confirmed the appointment via LinkedIn, noting that the new position focuses on helping LVMH’s various Maisons translate AI capabilities into tangible business value. He will work closely with Gonzague de Pirey, Chief Omnichannel and Data Officer, and Martin Schoeller, Director of the LVMH AI Factory, to advance the group's internal technology roadmap.
During his time at Sephora, Marchal oversaw the integration of sophisticated data models that supported the brand's rapid digital expansion. His departure coincides with a period of heightened digital experimentation at Sephora, including the recent U.S. launch of the "Drop Shop" on TikTok, a pilot program designed to merge social commerce with exclusive product releases.
