National Safety Council Joins Federal Push to Curb Workplace Fatalities

This partnership brings together the Occupational Safety and Health Administration with the National Safety Council, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the American Society of Safety Professionals, and the University of Colorado Boulder's Construction Safety Research Alliance. The group intends to standardize the dissemination of prevention strategies, practical training, and actionable solutions for safety professionals across the country.

NSC CEO Lorraine Martin described the initiative as a historic evolution in workplace safety. The core mission involves moving beyond general compliance to proactively address conditions that carry the highest potential for catastrophic harm. Participating organizations will collaborate on developing new resources designed to translate complex safety data into immediate, life-saving workplace protocols.
