Meanwhile, Orlando is deploying an interactive tool to showcase its capability-led development approach to prospective investors. Pasco County plans to utilize its grant to conduct an economic impact analysis, providing a data-driven foundation for future business retention efforts.
Melissa Seixas, Duke Energy Florida state president, stated that these investments are essential for maintaining the state's global competitiveness. Local leaders, including Chelsea Morgan of the North Florida Economic Development Partnership, noted that such resources are vital for rural communities to leverage their unique assets while fostering growth. The initiative spans the state, with the Greater Tampa Bay area receiving $120,000, Central Florida securing $67,500, and various North Florida entities receiving a combined $104,000 to stimulate job creation and private investment.
