Chan noted that his expertise is intended to guide the Fremont project through its next phase, which includes internal scoping, expansion drilling, and resource upgrades.

The Fremont site, a brownfield project that ceased operations during World War II, holds significant potential for the company. Recent assessments indicate a substantial resource base, with 1.16 million ounces of gold in the indicated category and 2.02 million ounces inferred. The project is situated on over 3,000 acres of private and patented land, positioned within a designated Opportunity Zone. As the company moves toward formalizing its mine planning and construction strategy, Garretson’s track record at major mining firms will serve as a primary technical pillar for the project’s advancement.
