The Irving-based firm, which manages a diverse portfolio of independent and branded hotels, designed the division to unify financial strategy, technology, and hotel resources. By embedding enterprise automation and AI into daily operations, the company intends to replace legacy manual processes with predictive forecasting. This transition is intended to provide ownership partners with earlier visibility into performance shifts, allowing for interventions before problems appear in month-end reports.
Shozib Khan, who brings over 25 years of industry experience to the role, will oversee the integration of these systems across the company. CEO Richard Sandoval noted that the firm’s owners require partners capable of identifying opportunities in real-time rather than simply explaining past performance. By creating a centralized performance engine, Spire aims to scale its insights across its portfolio, ensuring that management decisions are consistently aligned with long-term asset value. The move underscores a broader shift in the hospitality sector, where the ability to interpret data at the property level has become a primary metric of management effectiveness.
