MozaicID Secures U.S. Coast Guard Biometric Reader Contract

Under the terms of the agreement, MozaicID will manage comprehensive support for the MCR V3 handheld devices. The scope of work includes maintaining essential certifications, facilitating secure data management, and providing personnel with a dedicated web-based reporting portal. A primary technical objective involves updating the entire existing inventory to comply with the TSA-mandated ECC P-384 cryptography standards.

The MCR V3 serves as a standalone verification tool, capable of authenticating TWIC, CAC, PIV, and PIV-I credentials alongside biometric data without relying on cellular or Wi-Fi networks. This deployment builds upon a long-standing relationship between the vendor and the Coast Guard, dating back to initial mobile reader contracts awarded in 2008 and 2018. Beyond the Coast Guard, MozaicID’s verification technology is currently utilized by major seaports, cruise lines, and energy facilities to manage identity security in environments where connectivity is limited.
