Smashburger Taps New York Deli Traditions for Fall Menu

The new menu highlights include the New York Pastrami Smash, which combines a smashed beef patty with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and mustard on a Parker House roll. The chain is also introducing a New York Pastrami Big Dog, featuring a quarter-pound Angus hot dog topped with the same smoked pastrami blend. To complement these savory additions, Smashburger is rolling out two Häagen-Dazs hand-spun shakes in Pumpkin Spice and Apple Pie flavors.

Beyond the seasonal specials, the Denver-based company is updating its core menu with a focus on high-protein options. The refreshed Grilled Chicken Avocado Club and Deluxe Grilled Chicken Sandwich arrive as part of a strategy to balance culinary innovation with operational consistency. CEO Jim Sullivan noted that the goal is to leverage familiar deli profiles while maintaining the brand's commitment to premium, handcrafted ingredients. These additions are available at participating locations nationwide for a limited time.
