Marketing operations teams traditionally spend days after trade shows reformatting badge scans and business cards to meet CRM requirements. This friction often results in delayed follow-ups and incompatible records. Captello’s update addresses these inconsistencies by normalizing phone numbers, state abbreviations, and job titles at the moment of capture, ensuring data arrives in the CRM ready for immediate use.
The system operates through three primary layers. First, it applies immediate standardization rules to incoming data. Second, it executes predefined business logic—such as lead scoring and territory-based routing—to trigger automated follow-ups. Finally, AI agents handle complex qualification tasks that previously required human intervention. Brad Froese, VP of Marketing at Captello, noted that this approach allows sales representatives to engage buyers while conversations remain fresh, rather than waiting for manual cleanup processes to conclude.
This functionality integrates with over 9,000 existing CRM and marketing automation platforms. By removing the reliance on spreadsheets for data management, the company claims it can improve pipeline reporting accuracy for enterprise clients, including firms like IBM, Amazon, and Philips.
