Varda Space Industries Secures $251 Million for Orbital Manufacturing

The infusion of capital accelerates Varda’s objective to integrate space-based processing into standard drug development pipelines. Since its inaugural mission in 2023, Varda has executed six successful reentry missions using its proprietary W-Series vehicles. These craft, capable of reaching Mach 25 during atmospheric descent, provide the necessary logistics to return finished products to Earth. With over a dozen missions scheduled through 2028, co-founder Delian Asparouhov expects the new funding to deepen pharmaceutical partnerships and stabilize the company's launch cadence. As the industry scales, Varda is positioning its hypersonic capsule technology as the essential bridge between orbital production and clinical application.
