Sungrow Wraps European Roadshow at Monza Circuit

The Italian solar market is accelerating rapidly, with 2.61 GW of new capacity installed in the first half of 2026. This surge has pushed total PV capacity to 46.8 GW, while electrochemical storage capacity has reached 12 GWh. According to Terna, solar generation accounted for 51.4% of Italy's renewable electricity in August alone, underscoring the urgency for advanced storage solutions.

Sungrow used the Monza sessions to detail specific industrial deployments. For the commercial sector, the PowerStack ST225 and ST455 systems are powering energy communities, such as the Dragone Energy project in Villanova d'Asti, which utilizes a 3,200-kWh storage system to enable evening energy sharing. Meanwhile, for larger infrastructure, the company showcased the PowerKeeper series, now deployed in a 4.15 MWp project by ESPE along the A4 motorway. Massimo Bracchi, Country Manager at Sungrow Italy, noted that businesses are increasingly prioritizing storage to maximize self-consumption and strengthen resilience against the complexities of a decentralized market.
