The competition, which launched in January alongside the Jiangxi China-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Alliance, attracted 147 proposals. Notably, 56 percent of these entries originated from joint teams featuring both Chinese and African participants. Projects ranged from modern agriculture and mining to healthcare and vocational training, reflecting a diverse application of digital tools and AIGC platforms.
Two standout initiatives, the "Bamboo Bridges China-Africa" project and a regional vertical AIGC digital collaboration platform, headlined the forum. A roundtable discussion involving industry experts and academic mentors examined how youth can leverage emerging technology to strengthen cooperation. Emmanuel Edward, an African youth representative, noted the importance of the platform for sustaining long-term professional development. The series concluded with six projects securing top-tier prizes, while 10 additional teams received excellence awards for their contributions to the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
