Animal Rescue Corps to host Tommy Crockett Memorial Run in Mt. Juliet

The event schedule kicks off with a one-mile Family Fun Run at 8 a.m., followed by a USA Track and Field-certified 5K at 8:30 a.m. Registration remains open, with guaranteed T-shirts available for those who sign up before November 12. Competitive runners will vie for medals across more than a dozen age groups, while the overall top male and female finishers will receive trophies and gift baskets. The organizers also welcome strollers, scooters, and well-socialized leashed dogs, with the first 100 canine participants receiving commemorative race bandanas.

Executive Director Tim Woodward noted that the run provides essential funding for the organization's work, which often involves partnering with local law enforcement to remove animals from cruel conditions. Tammy Jacobs, marketing director at Two Rivers Ford, described the race as a long-standing tradition for the dealership.
