Announced at the BrightSide conference in Omaha, AI Studio shifts the role of AI from a basic writing assistant to an active participant in organizational workflows. According to Workshop’s Internal Comms Trends Report, 68% of professionals identify the automation of repetitive tasks as their primary goal. The platform provides secure connectors to enterprise systems like SharePoint, enabling agents to pull source data, draft communications, and submit final versions for human approval.

CEO Rick Knudtson noted that the tool is designed to manage recurring obligations—such as weekly digests, performance summaries, and event reminders—without requiring additional headcount. By integrating a Workshop MCP server, users can also leverage external AI models like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to interface directly with company data. To mitigate security concerns, the system operates strictly within existing user permissions; if an individual lacks access to a specific file, their assigned AI agent is equally restricted. The add-on is available to all current Workshop customers starting today, featuring unlimited AI usage credits to encourage widespread adoption.
