Thrivent Breaks Ground on New Operations Hub in Appleton

The facility is designed to house approximately 1,400 local employees, catering to a modern workforce that balances hybrid, remote, and onsite schedules. Paul Johnston, Thrivent’s Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, described the project as a milestone rooted in generations of local history. The building offers flexible environments intended to foster collaboration rather than traditional office routines.

Construction began on September 8, setting the foundation for a broader vision that encompasses the entire Wilden Portfolio Park. The long-term development plan for the 600-acre site includes future housing, commercial space, and public amenities created in partnership with the City of Appleton. By integrating community input, the project aims to expand the city’s footprint while maintaining the financial services firm's long-standing connection to the area.
