Jerez Winemakers Bring Sherry Traditions to New Orleans

César Saldaña, President of the Consejo Regulador, will lead the inaugural sessions, guiding trade professionals through the evolution of the Marco de Jerez. The event highlights the region's shifting regulatory landscape, specifically the introduction of the Vinos de Albariza designation. Attendees will sample a broad spectrum of styles, ranging from delicate Manzanillas to complex, aged varieties like Palo Cortado and Pedro Ximénez, provided by nearly 20 participating historic wineries.

Beyond the primary showcase, the delegation will host localized training for staff at venues including Costera and Mildred's at The Warbler Hotel, alongside consumer tastings at Faubourg Wines. Following the Louisiana debut, the initiative moves to New York City for the Feria En Rama at High Line Nine on October 4 and 5. This larger activation will feature more than 30 producers, pairing the wines with traditional flamenco, Spanish cuisine, and seminars to emphasize the cultural heritage of the Cádiz province.
