Nanoscope Therapeutics to Unveil Optogenetic Clinical Data in Vienna

Jordi Mones, MD, PhD, is scheduled to present the first direct-to-Phase 2 randomized, controlled trial findings for sonpiretigene isteparvovec in macular degeneration on October 4. This presentation follows the release of four-year extension data from the RESTORE trial, which will be detailed by Benjamin Bakall, MD, PhD, on October 1. The data aims to demonstrate the lasting visual improvements provided by the MCO-010 therapy in patients suffering from retinitis pigmentosa.

Beyond the clinical findings, Nanoscope leadership will engage with the broader ophthalmology community at the Retina Forum 2026. Samarendra Mohanty, the company’s co-founder and chief scientific officer, will deliver a corporate presentation on September 30.
