Ten Biotech Finalists Selected for Inaugural S2S China Symposium

The finalists were chosen from a broad pool of applicants by an advisory group of seasoned biopharma investors. These teams will now enter a mentorship phase, working closely with industry experts to refine their scientific models, polish commercial narratives, and sharpen their pitch presentations ahead of the October 15 showcase.

Co-hosted by RA Capital Management and Qiming Venture Partners, the program mirrors the original Science2Startup model established in 2018. This initiative provides researchers with a platform to move proprietary science toward company formation. Key figures supporting the symposium include Westlake University President Shi Yigong, Qiming’s Kan Chen, and RA Capital’s Josh Resnick. Corporate backing for the event is substantial, with Platinum sponsors including Goodwin, Eli Lilly, and Biocytogen, alongside Gold sponsor Johnson & Johnson and Silver sponsor Sanofi, all signaling a commitment to integrating China’s academic research into the global biotech ecosystem.
