The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, targets those who purchased York common stock during the company's January 2026 initial public offering or throughout the class period ending May 11, 2026. Plaintiffs allege that senior leadership concealed significant defects in onboard mission and payload software, which were reportedly non-functional prior to launch. These technical failures allegedly threatened milestones and put multi-hundred-million-dollar agreements with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Space Development Agency at risk.
Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, the firm representing the class, is investigating the extent to which management was aware of these operational shortcomings. According to Reed Kathrein, a partner at the firm, the investigation focuses on the timeline of when executives learned about the undisclosed software deficiencies. The case claims that statements regarding the company’s manufacturing scale and commercial backlog were materially false, resulting in substantial financial losses for those who invested based on the firm's public disclosures.
