Inland Empire Health Plan Secures Four-Star NCQA Medicaid Rating

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has awarded Inland Empire Health Plan a four-out-of-five-star rating for its 2026 Medicaid performance. This marks the second consecutive time the Rancho Cucamonga-based organization has achieved this standard, reflecting its ongoing efforts to balance rapid enrollment growth with patient care quality.

The rating evaluates health plans across a spectrum of clinical and administrative metrics. According to IEHP leadership, the achievement rests on three pillars: provider support systems, direct member engagement, and internal operational efficiency. The organization currently serves 1.4 million residents across San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

"Maintaining this high standard requires the dedication of our entire team, alongside providers and community organizations working together," said CEO Jarrod McNaughton. As the plan celebrates its 30th anniversary, the recognition provides a benchmark for its role as one of the nation's five largest Medicaid health plans. Chief Quality Officer Genia Fick added that the feedback validates their approach to coordinated care, ensuring members feel supported within the network of over 10,000 providers.
