U.S. Chamber of Commerce Launches Six-Week National Opportunity Tour

A custom-branded bus will pull away from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Washington this Friday, marking the start of a six-week trek across the country. The initiative, dubbed the Free Enterprise Express, aims to promote pro-growth policies and highlight local businesses ahead of upcoming political contests.

The tour represents the latest phase of the Chamber’s 'New Fight for Free Enterprise' initiative. Chamber President and CEO Suzanne P. Clark is scheduled to headline the 10:30 AM launch event on September 18, 2026, before the bus embarks on its journey through key states. Organizers intend to use the trip to draw a national spotlight on employers, workers, and community leaders who align with the organization’s economic agenda.

Beyond promoting business growth, the tour serves a clear political purpose. The Chamber plans to make specific stops to support candidates who advocate for free-market principles and deregulation. By visiting local chambers and regional hubs, the leadership team hopes to frame the national economic debate around the idea that private-sector growth remains the primary driver of rising living standards. Media access for the Washington kickoff begins at 9:30 AM at the organization’s Connecticut Avenue entrance.
