Bloom Energy Investors Face September Deadline in Securities Lawsuit

Investors who acquired Bloom Energy stock between February 27, 2025, and July 8, 2026, face a critical September 28 deadline to seek lead plaintiff status in a federal class action lawsuit. The litigation follows allegations that the company obscured its reliance on Chinese-sourced scandium through various intermediaries.

The legal action, spearheaded by the firm Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, stems from a July 8, 2026, report by Hunterbrook Media. The report claimed that Bloom Energy utilized a complex network of suppliers across Thailand, Japan, and South Korea to mask its dependency on scandium oxide imported from China. According to the complaint, these undisclosed supply chain channels rendered the company’s public statements regarding its business operations and financial prospects materially misleading.

Following the publication of the report, Bloom Energy shares dropped 5.7%, or $15.28, closing at $254.29 on July 8. The lawsuit alleges that by failing to disclose the true nature of its procurement process, the company violated federal securities laws and injured shareholders. Investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff must file a motion with the court by September 28, 2026. While those with the largest financial interest are typically selected for this role, shareholders may also choose to remain absent class members and await the outcome of the proceedings.
