Medlock joins the company as it executes an aggressive expansion strategy, following the acquisitions of TeachTown, SpedTrack, Matchware, and Embrace Education. These moves have unified the firm’s offerings across K–12, higher education, and corporate sectors. His arrival follows the appointment of CEO Jill Popelka in July, creating a new leadership tandem aimed at scaling the platform’s impact on diverse learning needs. Everway founder Martin McKay will transition to the role of Vice Chairman to maintain continuity.
With over 30 years of experience, Medlock brings a background in private equity-backed transformations and public market exits, including three successful IPOs. He previously served as CFO at Worldpay, Inmarsat, and Misys, and holds board experience at firms such as Deliveroo and Smith+Nephew. Sacha Oshry, a partner at Five Arrows—the Rothschild & Co arm that has backed Everway since 2020—noted that Medlock’s governance expertise is intended to help the company consolidate its product portfolio while navigating its next growth phase.
