The new MDA CHORUS ecosystem consists of three core components: COMMAND, COMMAND PRO, and INTELLIGENCE. COMMAND serves as the central platform for managing archives and scheduling imaging priorities, while COMMAND PRO offers a higher degree of autonomy by allowing clients to integrate regional ground stations directly into their own operations. This setup is specifically intended to eliminate latency for defense users requiring immediate local processing.
Rounding out the suite, the INTELLIGENCE arm provides specialized analytics for maritime awareness, oil-on-water detection, and infrastructure monitoring. CEO Mike Greenley noted that the company is translating decades of synthetic aperture radar expertise into a more accessible, user-friendly system. The technology will be powered by the MDA CHORUS constellation, which combines two new X-band and C-band satellites with the existing RADARSAT-2 platform to ensure high-revisit, all-weather imaging capabilities.
