ASSA ABLOY Expands US Footprint with PACLOCK Acquisition

With the acquisition of California-based Pacific Lock Company, Swedish security giant ASSA ABLOY is deepening its reach into the American padlock market. The deal integrates a specialized manufacturer known for customized security hardware into the buyer's expansive Residential Business Segment to bolster its North American portfolio.

Founded in 1998, the Valencia-based company brings roughly 40 employees and a specialized manufacturing footprint to its new parent organization. The purchase aligns with ASSA ABLOY’s broader strategy of targeting mature markets through the acquisition of complementary, high-margin businesses. PACLOCK reported sales of approximately 17 million USD in 2025, and executives expect the move to be accretive to earnings per share immediately.

Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of ASSA ABLOY, emphasized that the move serves to strengthen the group’s core business offerings. Lucas Boselli, head of the firm's Americas Division, noted that PACLOCK’s reputation for reliability and rapid product customization fills a specific gap for clients requiring more than off-the-shelf security solutions. The integration into the Residential Business Segment is intended to leverage PACLOCK's US-based production capabilities to better serve evolving regional security demands.
