The winning portfolio, which includes the Volvo FH, FM, FMX, and FH Aero Electric models, sets a new benchmark with a driving range of up to 700 kilometers. Judges emphasized the company’s transition from offering isolated electric vehicles to providing comprehensive transport solutions capable of handling diverse tasks—from urban distribution to demanding long-haul assignments.
Florian Engel, Chairman of the International Truck of the Year jury, noted that the evolution of Volvo’s battery-electric technology is rapidly reshaping heavy-duty transport. Accepting the trophy, Volvo Trucks President Roger Alm highlighted that the company's order books are nearly full, signaling strong market confidence in zero-tailpipe emission logistics. Since 2019, Volvo has deployed 7,000 electric trucks globally, covering 500 million kilometers across 50 countries. The award criteria focused on technological innovation, safety, and the total cost of ownership, reinforcing Volvo's position as a leader in the shift toward sustainable heavy transport.
