Estée Lauder Targets Generative AI Visibility in Prestige Beauty Push

The Estée Lauder Companies has partnered with Profound to gain granular visibility into how its luxury beauty brands appear across generative AI platforms. The move marks a shift in the industry, as the cosmetics giant seeks to optimize its digital presence and influence AI-generated consumer recommendations globally.

The collaboration aims to operationalize generative engine optimization (GEO) across the company’s entire portfolio. By monitoring how its products are represented in AI responses, the firm intends to ensure its brands remain distinct and accurate when consumers search for beauty advice. Aude Gandon, Global Chief Digital & Marketing Officer at The Estée Lauder Companies, stated that the organization intends to proactively shape the way beauty discovery is being rewritten in real-time rather than merely reacting to evolving search behaviors.

James Cadwallader, CEO and co-founder of Profound, noted that the prestige beauty sector is now treating AI platform shifts with the same strategic rigor traditionally applied to mainstream marketing channels. By deploying these capabilities at scale, the partnership establishes a new benchmark for how global enterprises manage brand identity within the AI ecosystem.
