Bernardo Lacayo Named Head of Corporate Banking at Third Coast

Lacayo joins the leadership team after a short tenure with the bank, having arrived in March 2026. He brings over 30 years of financial services experience, previously serving as Head of Loan Markets at CIBC Bank USA. His career includes a nearly 18-year run at CIBC and its predecessor, The PrivateBank & Trust Company, where he specialized in senior-debt syndications and mezzanine financing. Earlier roles at Citizens Financial Group and LaSalle Bank further highlight his history of building specialized lending groups across the Midwest.

At Third Coast, Lacayo will oversee the bank’s efforts to service larger, more complex client relationships while maintaining the firm's signature relationship-driven approach. Chief Banking Officer Bill Bobbora noted that Lacayo’s ability to translate strategy into consistent results remains central to the bank's next phase of growth. The institution currently operates 21 branches across major Texas markets, including Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.
