The tour centers on screenings of "MARCH ON," a 35-minute documentary from Storyboard Studios that tracks the university's influence through three generations of students: former Apple executive Denise Young, photographer Dalvin Adams, and current student Rylee Beaudion. Each event pairs the film with moderated discussions and receptions designed to foster connections among the extended "GramFam."
University President Dr. Martin Lemelle Jr. described the initiative as a way to reaffirm the role of HBCUs in shaping future leaders and driving societal progress. The tour kicks off this September with stops in Grambling, Washington, D.C., New York City, and Dallas. Founded in 1901 after local farmers sought educational opportunities for their children, the institution now serves roughly 5,000 students under its enduring motto, "Where Everybody is Somebody."
