Central Indiana Picklr Joins St. Louis Shock Minor League Ranks

The newly formed squad includes Irina Paterson, Dale Happe, Cassie Morrow, Carrie Gordy, and Tyler Jones. Since recruitment began in May 2026, these players have gained access to the Shock’s expansive minor league infrastructure, which is projected to grow to over 500 participants across the country by the end of the year. The program offers members opportunities to compete in local, regional, and national tournaments, bridging the gap between recreational club play and professional-level competition.

Early results indicate immediate impact. Paterson and Happe recently teamed up with players from an Alabama-based Shock affiliate to secure a silver medal in the DUPR 12 bracket at a tournament in Memphis. Local managing partners Ron Brock and Dave Gilreath, who oversee the Picklr franchise in Indianapolis, stated that this affiliation integrates central Indiana into the broader professional ecosystem, including outreach to university campuses like Purdue, Ball State, and Indiana University. With five existing or planned locations in the region, Pickle Indy aims to use this professional link to bolster the competitive environment for both members and non-members.
