Cloud Inventory updates Enterprise Printing Platform for universal labels

The update enables developers to design templates without pre-selecting a specific printer, significantly reducing the maintenance burden of managing multiple files for different hardware. The system handles the technical translation automatically, converting labels into the required printer language—such as ZPL, IPL, or SBPL—based on defined profiles. If no specific interpreter is assigned to a local printer, the platform defaults to PCL output.

Beyond streamlining device compatibility, the new architecture expands font support by eliminating the need to upload individual font files directly onto hardware. President Brent DiBartolo noted that the release aims to improve day-to-day operational efficiency for clients. The platform continues to support barcode, RFID, and graphics printing directly from standard applications without requiring dedicated print servers or additional hardware.
