Conejo Valley Relay For Life Adds Competitive Car Show to 2026 Event

The American Cancer Society returns to California Lutheran University on September 19, 2026, for the annual Relay For Life of Conejo Valley. This year’s 12-hour fundraiser at Memorial Field expands its scope beyond the traditional track walk by introducing a competitive car show alongside a non-competitive 5.0K fun run.

The event kicks off at 8:00 am with a 5.0K run, followed by a day-long relay where registered teams maintain a presence on the track. Beyond the physical activity, participants can engage in carnival-style games, silent auctions, and live musical performances. The day culminates at 7:00 pm with a luminaria ceremony, a reflective tradition honoring cancer survivors and those lost to the disease.

New to the program, the car show runs from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, inviting owners of classic cruisers, muscle cars, and custom builds to display their vehicles. Entry into the show includes a raffle ticket for a JBL Charge 6 speaker, with additional chances to win available through donations. Proceeds from all activities, including food sales and registration fees, support the American Cancer Society’s research initiatives and patient advocacy programs.

Abby Smith, Senior Manager of Events at the American Cancer Society, noted that the car show provides a new engagement point for the community to rally against a disease that impacts nearly every family. PennyMac serves as the presenting sponsor for this year’s event. While attendance is free, the 5.0K fun run requires a $28.05 registration donation.
