Brian Cornell Joins Neil Jesani Advisors Strategic Board

Brian Cornell, the executive chair of Target’s board and the architect of its $100 billion retail transformation, has joined the Strategic Board of Advisors at Neil Jesani Advisors. His appointment signals a push by the Florida-based tax and advisory firm to scale its national operations for high-net-worth clients.

Cornell brings over three decades of leadership experience to the firm, having served as CEO of Target, Michaels, Sam’s Club, and PepsiCo Americas Foods. During his tenure at Target, he oversaw the expansion to 2,000 U.S. stores and integrated a digital-first fulfillment strategy that added nearly $40 billion in growth. Beyond his retail tenure, he currently chairs The Business Council and serves as non-executive chairman of the board at Yum! Brands.

Neil Jesani, president and CEO of the firm, noted that Cornell’s expertise in operational excellence and brand strategy will be pivotal as NJA continues its expansion. Cornell joins a high-profile advisory board that already includes former U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Roger W. Ferguson Jr., Intel’s former CEO Brian Krzanich, and retired general H.R. McMaster. The board provides guidance on long-term innovation and organizational development as the firm grows its footprint beyond its Fort Lauderdale headquarters.
