LG Debuts 2026 AI TV Lineup Featuring α11 Gen3 Processor at IFA

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, LG Electronics is unveiling its latest generation of AI-powered televisions designed to function as personalized entertainment hubs. Centered on the upgraded α11 AI Processor Gen3, the new lineup integrates advanced hardware with the award-winning LG Shield security platform to reshape the home viewing experience.

The core of the 2026 series is the α11 AI Processor Gen3, which LG claims delivers a 5.6-fold increase in NPU performance compared to its predecessor. This engine powers AI Dual 4K Upscaling and creates a virtual 11.1.2 channel audio environment. Beyond raw processing, the TVs introduce features like Voice ID, which adjusts content profiles based on individual speakers, and an AI Chatbot that provides real-time troubleshooting for display settings.

LG is also emphasizing the role of its webOS ecosystem in daily utility. The AI Concierge tool proactively surfaces content and search terms in a card format, minimizing navigation time for the user. To secure these data-heavy processes, every unit includes LG Shield, a CES 2026 Innovation Awards honoree. The system utilizes seven distinct security technologies, including secure data storage and transmission, to protect against unauthorized access. LG plans to support the longevity of these devices with five years of complimentary webOS upgrades, ensuring the software remains current long after purchase.
