The gathering arrives at a pivotal moment for the sector, following a year where emerging economies accounted for over 80% of global energy demand growth. With electricity consumption rising by 4.3% and the energy requirements of data centers projected to double by 2030, the summit aims to bridge the gap between burgeoning demand and current supply capabilities. Under the patronage of Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, the conference will shift the narrative from mere transition to 'energy addition,' emphasizing the simultaneous development of natural gas, renewables, and grid technology.
Bangkok serves as a strategic hub for this dialogue, reflecting Thailand’s own investments in LNG and electrification. More than 800 speakers, including high-level government officials from the United States, Singapore, Egypt, Nigeria, and Oman, will join industry leaders from firms such as Chevron, Shell, ExxonMobil, and PETRONAS. The program features specialized tracks on AI integration, grid resilience, and regulatory frameworks, designed to turn high-level policy discussions into actionable investment projects. Following the 2025 event, which facilitated an estimated US$60 billion in commercial agreements, organizers expect over 50,000 attendees to utilize the 2026 platform to secure the partnerships necessary for future economic prosperity.
