PureTalk Launches $250,000 Veteran Support Campaign

As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, wireless provider PureTalk has pledged $250,000 to America’s Warrior Partnership. The initiative, dubbed America250, aims to move beyond rhetoric by funding local veteran support programs, backed by a commitment to match customer donations dollar-for-dollar until the target is met.

The campaign kicked off with an initial $25,000 donation, with the company guaranteeing the full quarter-million-dollar goal through a combination of corporate matching and customer contributions. Consumers can participate by rounding up their monthly bills at checkout, with every cent directed toward the nonprofit’s community-based services for veterans, their families, and caregivers.

Medal of Honor recipient Clint Romesha and America’s Warrior Partnership CEO Jim Lorraine are spearheading the effort. Romesha, a former Army Staff Sergeant who earned his commendation for actions during the 2009 Battle of Kamdesh, emphasizes that the program serves as a practical application of patriotism. Lorraine, who spent 22 years in the Air Force and served as Deputy Command Surgeon for the United States Special Operations Command, oversees the distribution of these funds to expand the reach of existing veteran care networks nationwide.
