The fundraiser, organized by American Iron Speed-n-Cycle, has attracted a broad coalition of local sponsors who are funding the October 17 event. Marketing manager Tracy O'Clair noted that the business community’s participation goes beyond mere branding, focusing instead on the essential palliative and grief-support services Frederick Health Hospice provides to county residents. Malloy Law Offices, LLC leads the pack as the presenting sponsor, while companies like 1st Call Garage Doors & Openers and K & K Automotive have stepped in to back specific event prizes and the upcoming car and motorcycle show.
Beyond the initial sponsorships, the event relies on a network of regional stops, including Red Shedman Farm Brewery & Hop Yard and Rosie Cheeks Distillery. The campaign culminates in Thurmont at the Lewistown Social Club, where silent auctions and rider registrations are expected to push the final tally well past the original goal. These funds directly support the hospice’s mission of guiding families through end-of-life care and bereavement, ensuring that the impact of the ride extends far beyond the final mile.
